CRPF Celebrates Foundation Day with Free Medical Camp and Blood Donation Drive

Bijapur, March 9: On the occasion of the CRPF Foundation Day, the Central Reserve Police Force (CRPF) showcased its commitment to humanity and service in Bijapur district. The event highlighted the dual role of CRPF personnel, who not only ensure public safety but also contribute significantly to community welfare.

Under the guidance of the Collector and Chairman of the Indian Red Cross Society, along with the Chief Medical and Health Officer (CMHO) and Secretary Dr. B.R. Pujari, a Blood Donation camp was organized by the 170 Battalion of CRPF in Bijapur.

The camp saw enthusiastic participation from CRPF personnel, who voluntarily donated blood. A total of 52 units of blood were collected, which will play a crucial role in the treatment of patients in local hospitals. Officials present at the event emphasized that blood donation is the greatest gift, as it can save lives.

This initiative, held on the CRPF Foundation Day, sends a strong message of service, cooperation, and humanity within the community. Officials praised the efforts of the Indian Red Cross Society, noting that such events raise awareness about blood donation and encourage more individuals to participate in this noble cause.

Additionally, on the 87th CRPF Foundation Day, the 112 Battalion of CRPF successfully organized a free Medical Camp in the remote areas of Lamchok Nepali village, Kangpokpi district, under the guidance of the IG of Manipur and Nagaland Sector. This camp was conducted within the jurisdiction of the 112 Battalion CRPF, E Company, Gelnal.

The event featured participation from Deputy Commandant Rajendra Prasad Raigar, Assistant Commandant Shivraj Mahulayi, Unit Medical Officer Dr. Durgesh Dhote, and nursing and paramedical staff from both the 112 Battalion CRPF and the T. Vaichong Primary Health Centre.

This initiative aligns with the CRPF’s motto of ‘Service and Loyalty,’ aimed at providing essential health services and free medicines to people living in remote areas. Over 200 villagers attended the medical camp, including students from local schools in the IT Road area. Village heads and members from the Kuki, Naga, and Nepali communities actively participated as well.

In addition to medical check-ups, medicines were distributed, and basic tests were conducted by lab technicians on-site. Schoolchildren attending the medical check-up were also given notebooks and pens. The village heads and local residents expressed their gratitude to the 112 Battalion CRPF and the Kangpokpi district administration for their significant contributions to the successful organization of this medical camp.
