Banswara to Become Kashmir of Rajasthan, Says MLA Meena

Banswara, April 17: Gopichand Meena, the state president of the BJP Scheduled Tribe Front and MLA from Jahazpur, has unveiled his vision to transform Banswara into the ‘Kashmir of Rajasthan’. During a press conference held at the district BJP office, he emphasized the need to develop the region’s natural beauty and religious sites to establish it as a global tourism hub.
Meena accused the Congress party of exploiting tribal communities, stating that they were previously used merely as a vote bank. He highlighted the proposed nuclear power plant, which is expected to cost ₹50,000 crores, as a significant milestone for regional development and employment opportunities.
He also acknowledged the contributions of former Prime Ministers Atal Bihari Vajpayee and Bhairon Singh Shekhawat in the upliftment of tribal communities. Meena asserted that under Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma’s leadership, strict actions are being taken against corruption in the state. Several officials, including BJP district president Poonjilal Gayari, were present during the event.
