Global Peace Essential for Indias Serenity: Swami Avadheshanand Giri

Nagpur, March 28: Acharya Mahamandaleshwar Swami Avadheshanand Giri Maharaj has expressed his views on the current global situation, emphasizing that rampant materialism is dominating the world today. He noted that the tendency to accumulate more possessions leads to dominance and power struggles, shaping the direction of leadership.

Swami Giri stated that the prevailing circumstances suggest that those with greater resources are perceived as more significant. However, he highlighted that India has never harbored arrogance regarding its wealth, as what it possesses has always been for the benefit of others. He reiterated the belief that the world is one family, and India is an integral member of this family, embodying a spirit that transcends National boundaries.

He articulated that India’s philosophy is rooted in the idea that Global Peace will lead to tranquility within the nation. Drawing from Vedic teachings, he asserted that if these principles reach the West, the conflicts and unrest currently observed could be resolved. He likened the cyclical nature of seasons, stating that spring follows autumn, and that the preparations for this renewal will originate from India.

Earlier, on February 10, Swami Avadheshanand Giri referred to India as a Hindu nation during a discourse in Morena, asserting that the country has become stronger and more prosperous than ever. He commended the Indian government for its efforts towards creating a peaceful society and promoting social harmony, emphasizing equality among all communities.

He remarked that all communities should be respected equally, regardless of their backgrounds, and that pride in being Hindu should be embraced. He also noted that Hindu Values, exemplified through yoga and Ayurveda, are gaining recognition worldwide, even in Muslim countries.
