Bhopal, March 11: Jitu Patwari, the chief of the Madhya Pradesh Congress, has criticized the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), stating that many within the party have likely felt humiliated during their tenure. He pointed out that these are the same individuals who once spoke against untouchability and have a history of opposing prominent leaders like Dr. B.R. Ambedkar. Patwari urged the public to examine the BJP’s past statements against the Constitution, emphasizing that their ideology has tarnished the country’s democracy.
Patwari expressed confidence in the judicial system, announcing that the Congress party would approach the Supreme Court, asserting that Mukesh Malhotra would be re-elected. He claimed that the BJP’s true character has been revealed to the people of the state.
He highlighted the rising inflation in the country due to global conflicts, mentioning that trade deals are being made under pressure. Farmers are facing dire conditions, with prices of soybean, cotton, and maize plummeting by 40%. He also noted a ₹60 increase in LPG prices and warned that petrol and diesel prices could reach ₹200.
Patwari dismissed concerns over rising crude oil prices but expressed worry about the lack of representation for tribal communities in the state. He urged the citizens to recognize the BJP’s actions and reassured them that the Congress party would continue to fight against undemocratic forces with determination and courage.
He further accused the BJP of corruption, questioning the living conditions of BJP workers who drive luxury vehicles like Scorpios and Fortuners. Patwari urged the public to reflect on the changes in the status of local BJP leaders over the past decade.
