Bhopal, March 30: Significant changes in Weather patterns are anticipated in Madhya Pradesh due to moisture coming from the Bay of Bengal and the Arabian Sea, coupled with a western disturbance. The Meteorological Department has issued warnings for strong winds, rain, and hailstorms across the state.
Currently, temperatures in the state are soaring, reaching up to 40 degrees Celsius, with hot winds prevailing during the day. The Meteorological Department has indicated that major changes in weather are on the horizon, which may provide some relief from the heat. However, the potential for storms and hail could pose a risk to ripe crops in the fields.
According to the department, the western disturbance, along with moisture from the Arabian Sea and the Bay of Bengal, is expected to bring hail to areas such as Bhind and Datia in the Gwalior-Chambal division. Additionally, clouds and rain may affect several regions, including Bhopal and Jabalpur.
The forecast suggests that over the next three to four days, noticeable weather changes will occur across most parts of the state, including Indore, Ujjain, Gwalior, Jabalpur, and Rewa divisions. This could lead to a drop in temperatures and reduced daytime heat.
The prospect of changing weather has raised concerns among farmers, particularly as wheat and other crops are ready for harvest and are currently stored in the open. Rain, hail, or strong winds could result in significant losses for farmers. In the past 24 hours, Mandla recorded a temperature of 39 degrees Celsius, while many other areas in the state reported temperatures between 37 and 38 degrees Celsius.
