CM Bhajanlal Sharma Criticizes Congress Over Gas Shortage Issue

Jaipur, March 19: Rajasthan Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma has launched a sharp attack on the Congress party regarding the ongoing Gas Shortage issue. He questioned whether the political discourse surrounding this problem is justified or merely an attempt to politicize the situation unnecessarily.

The Chief Minister expressed his surprise at Congress‘s approach, stating that the party restricts the discussion to politics alone. He raised the question of whether the gas shortage is confined to rajasthan or if it is a nationwide issue, and whether Rajasthan is to blame for this crisis.

Sharma informed that the state government has taken immediate steps to alleviate public distress. A meeting was convened on the same day the issue arose, with clear instructions given to officials to ensure there are no disruptions in gas supply.

He expressed confidence in the central government, stating that the situation is under control. Previously, the state maintained a five-day gas stock, which has now been increased to eight days, with plans for further expansion.

Targeting the opposition, Sharma accused Congress leaders of tarnishing the country’s image. He remarked that whether at home or abroad, certain Congress members attempt to undermine India’s reputation. He noted that the opposition becomes uncomfortable when the truth is spoken.

These remarks were made during the ‘Entrepreneur Dialogue’ event held at the Rajasthan International Centre. Criticizing the previous government, he stated that there was a lack of clear policy at that time, which misled the youth and created difficulties for entrepreneurs, alongside corruption in funds received from the center. He pointed out that internal conflicts weakened governance.

Sharma reiterated his commitment to providing uninterrupted electricity, emphasizing its importance for development. The government’s goal is to ensure 24-hour electricity supply to farmers and industries by 2027.

He mentioned that financial assistance is being provided to young entrepreneurs through various schemes, including the Chief Minister’s Youth Self-Employment Scheme. He criticized the opposition, asserting that implementing policies requires hard work and dedication, rather than mere inaction.

The Chief Minister also stated that strict action is being taken against wrongdoers, with numerous cases registered and approximately 450 individuals jailed for crimes affecting the youth.

He announced that an agreement (MOU) has been signed with Japanese investors for manufacturing electric vehicles in Rajasthan. Addressing entrepreneurs, he noted that they are not only expanding their businesses but also strengthening the state’s economy. Referring to Rajasthan Day, he highlighted that the state was formed on March 30, 1949, through the unification of princely states, and that Rajasthan Day is now celebrated on Chaitra Shukla Pratipada.
