Jupiter Football Builds Smashmouth Identity Behind Jayden Roberts and Veteran O-Line

JUPITER (Patrika English News): Jupiter High School’s football team is carving out a clear identity in 2025 — smashmouth football led by senior running back Jayden Roberts and a battle-tested offensive line.

The Warriors improved to 4-0 after a 24-13 victory over Spanish River on September 11, with Roberts once again powering the attack. The Treasure Coast transfer has quickly become the centerpiece of Jupiter’s ground game, complementing a deep running back rotation.

Roberts Leading the Way

Roberts entered Week 4 with 331 rushing yards and three touchdowns. Against Spanish River, he added two more scores — including one on a broken play — bringing his season totals to 434 yards and five touchdowns.

“We play smashmouth football and I like my front five over any in the county,” Roberts said, praising the Warriors’ offensive line. “Our O-line coach puts us in the position we need to be every week.”

O-Line Setting the Tone

Head coach Jason Kradman highlighted the unit’s experience as a difference-maker. Jupiter starts five senior linemen — Alex Brant, Peyton Skiles, Ben Aarons, Cory Harlow and Marco Aranda — with Colin Pessagno also anchoring the trenches.

“Jayden’s huge for us, but we have a stable of running backs we can lean on,” Kradman said. “Having those returning senior offensive linemen is a big advantage. We can pound the ball when we need to pound the ball.”

Brant, who impressed playing both ways “with a heavy heart,” earned praise from Kradman as the “hero of the match.”

Eyes on Bigger Goals

Roberts says transferring to Jupiter has given him the senior year he envisioned. With nearly half of a 1,000-yard season already under his belt, his focus is now on helping the Warriors chase a district title.

“This is the senior year I envisioned for myself,” Roberts said. “The coaches accepted me like I was here for four years.”

After a bye in Week 5, Jupiter will face Palm Beach Central in Week 6, looking for payback after last year’s lone regular-season defeat.
