McDonald’s Appoints Two New Executives to Global Impact Team

New Delhi, September 16 (Patrika English News): McDonald’s has strengthened its global leadership team with two key appointments, bringing in seasoned executives Kathy Baird and Anne Hammer to drive brand communications, sustainability, and global impact initiatives.

Effective September 30, Kathy Baird will assume the role of Chief Impact Officer for McDonald’s USA. Anne Hammer will join as Vice President and Global Chief Communications Officer from October 14. Both will report into the global impact leadership structure led by Jon Banner, Executive Vice President and Global Chief Impact Officer.

In her new role, Baird will oversee U.S. government relations, brand and BUSINESS communications, and sustainability, while continuing to collaborate with the global impact leadership team. She will also serve on McDonald’s USA senior leadership team, reporting to Joe Erlinger, President of McDonald’s USA.

Baird, who has more than 25 years of experience across Fortune 500 companies, government, and media, most recently served as Chief Communications Officer at The Washington Post. She has also held senior roles at Nike, leading global purpose communications and civic engagement initiatives.

Hammer, who will lead McDonald’s global communications strategy, brings significant expertise in brand storytelling and reputation management. She previously served as Global Chief Communications Officer at Manulife, with earlier leadership roles at John Hancock and State Street.

Welcoming the appointments, Banner said, “I’m incredibly proud to welcome Kathy and Anne to our ranks as they help carry forward this team’s powerful legacy of global community impact.”
