Star wide receiver Nick Marsh and starting running back Makhi Frazier both picked up injuries in the game. Their status for the USC clash remains uncertain and will be decided later this week.

The Spartans suffered bigger blows with long-term injuries to two starters: offensive lineman Luka Vincic, who is expected to miss the rest of the season, and kick return specialist Alante Brown, who is also sidelined indefinitely.

Michigan State travels to Los Angeles as a two-touchdown underdog for Saturday night’s game. It will mark both the Spartans’ first road game and first Big Ten matchup of the season.

Kickoff is scheduled for 11 p.m. ET on Saturday at the Los Angeles Memorial Coliseum. The game will be televised live on FOX.
