Netflix India to Stream First Mythological Animated Series ‘Kurukshetra’ from October 10

New Delhi, Sept 10 (Patrika English News): Netflix India has announced its first mythological animated series, based on the epic Mahabharata. Titled Kurukshetra, the series will premiere on the platform on October 10, 2025. The streaming giant revealed the motion poster of the show on its official social media pages, building anticipation among audiences.

Gulzar Joins as Lyricist

Celebrated poet and lyricist Gulzar has been roped in as the official songwriter for the series, marking his association with the project. The motion poster, featuring a powerful background score by singer Sukhwinder Singh, has already struck a chord with viewers.

The poster showcases key characters from the Mahabharata, including Lord Krishna, Bhishma Pitamah, Arjuna, Draupadi, Bhima, Shakuni, and Duryodhana, with the caption:
“With the sound of the conch, begins the great war of Dharma and Adharma.”

Production and Creative Team

Kurukshetra is produced under Tipping Point Productions by Anu Sikka, Ajit Andhare, and Alok Jain. The series has been written and directed by Ujaan Ganguly.

The project promises to bring India’s greatest epic to life in a visually compelling animated format, blending mythology, music, and storytelling for a new generation of viewers.
