Charlotte, North Carolina (Patrika English News): US-based electronics resale franchise PayMore is set to open its 100th retail store in Charlotte, North Carolina, on 22 September 2025.

The company, which buys unused electronics from consumers and resells certified pre-owned devices, said it has opened 19 new locations across the US, Canada, and Europe in the second quarter of 2025 alone. PayMore now aims to expand its footprint further and reach at least 150 total stores by year-end.
According to PayMore, its store count has grown by 500% in the past two years, with more than 500 additional stores in development.
PayMore co-founder and CEO Stephen Preuss Sr said:
“Reaching 100 locations is a significant milestone, especially when most retail brands never grow beyond a handful of stores. We’re incredibly proud of our team and so thankful for our loyal customers. This reflects the strength of our BUSINESS model and the value we bring to every neighbourhood we enter. We’re just getting started.”
The company highlighted that consumer demand today is strongly influenced by value, sustainability, and safety. It cited a Morgan Stanley study forecasting US consumer spending to decline to 3.7% in 2025, compared to 5.7% last year, with lower- and middle-income groups being most impacted by tariffs and economic uncertainty.
As part of its growth strategy, PayMore is also emphasising data security and environmental sustainability. The company said every device it receives is either cleared of personal data or responsibly destroyed. In 2024, its e-waste recycling programmes diverted over one million pounds of electronics from landfills.
PayMore franchisee Randy Griesbach of OP Holdings, principal of business development, added:
“Opening PayMore store number 100 today marks a significant milestone in our partnership. We’ve grown together from PayMore’s early days with just a dozen locations, and we’re excited to expand further in Charlotte.”
