Mumbai, March 18: The highly anticipated action-drama film ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, directed by Aditya Dhar, is set to release across the country, but the film’s team has issued an apology to audiences via social media due to a significant technical issue.
In a post on Instagram, director Aditya Dhar informed fans that screenings of the Malayalam and Kannada versions have been postponed due to technical difficulties. However, the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions will be released as scheduled.
The note read, “For our beloved Dhurandhar family, Dhurandhar is not just a film for us; it is something we live for, something we have nurtured, and something we dream of sharing with all of you at the same moment, in every language.”
The team explained that most Hindi shows across India will commence at 5 PM as planned, while all Tamil and Telugu shows will start at 9 PM. Unfortunately, due to unforeseen technical issues, the Malayalam and Kannada shows will begin the following morning.
To accommodate affected audiences, the filmmakers have provided options for those who purchased tickets for the Malayalam or Kannada dubbed versions that are not currently screening in their theaters. They can either receive a full refund or watch the Hindi version with subtitles instead.
The team expressed their sincere apologies for the inconvenience, stating, “If the dubbed version ticket you hold is not currently playing in your theater, you will have the option to receive a refund or watch the Hindi version with subtitles instead. We truly apologize for this inconvenience. Your love for this film means everything to us, and we cannot wait to share it with you.”
In a previous post, director Aditya Dhar made a heartfelt request to audiences, urging them not to disclose any details about the story beforehand. He wrote, “Here’s my heartfelt, sincere request… please do not share anything about the story in advance! Every fan should go to watch the film without knowing anything, but with curiosity, and when they come out, they should have their own personal opinion about the film.”
Fans are eagerly awaiting ‘Dhurandhar: The Revenge’, and the team has assured that the technical issues will be resolved soon, allowing Malayalam and Kannada audiences to enjoy the film starting Thursday. Currently, there are no changes to the release of the Hindi, Tamil, and Telugu versions.
