New Delhi, March 27: Renowned cricketer Virat Kohli has added a unique design to his tattoo collection ahead of the IPL 2026 season. The former captain of Royal Challengers Bangalore (RCB) has crafted a tattoo that reflects his life experiences and personal transformations.
According to a press release from the tattoo studio where Kohli got the new ink, “This tattoo has been created on his left arm, enhancing the existing designs rather than removing them. The aim of this process is to weave old designs into a new narrative that aligns with Kohli’s current mindset and personality.”
The tattoo began with a reimagined armband inspired by Lord Shiva, which then transitions into an intricate mandala pattern created using dotwork techniques. This pattern flows across his arm, forming the foundation of the tattoo sleeve.
Included in the design are flowers like the lotus and peony, symbolizing strength, growth, and inner balance. However, the personal meanings behind these designs have not been fully disclosed, adding an element of mystery.
The studio also noted that the tattoo sleeve has been intentionally left incomplete. This decision reflects Kohli’s ongoing journey, with new experiences, changes, and achievements set to be incorporated into the tattoo in the future. Thus, it serves not just as a symbol of a single moment, but as a living document of his entire journey.
Kohli has been associated with RCB since the inaugural IPL season in 2008, consistently showcasing remarkable performance. He is the league’s most successful batsman. RCB clinched the IPL 2025 title, marking their first championship, with Kohli playing a pivotal role by scoring 657 runs, including eight half-centuries in 15 matches. As RCB prepares to defend their title in IPL 2026, Kohli’s exceptional performance will once again be crucial.
