Udaipur, April 14: In a remarkable act of philanthropy, the Mahavir International Udaipur Centre facilitated a body donation at RNT Medical College, Udaipur. The late Roshan Lal Hiran’s family has set an inspiring example by donating his body posthumously. During his lifetime, Hiran had committed to eye and body donation, a pledge that was communicated through his son-in-law, Ramesh Pagaria, to the Mahavir International Udaipur President, Veer Ravindra Surana. Due to Hiran’s age of over 85 years, eye donation was not possible.
Roshan Lal Jain Hiran retired after 40 years of service as a principal in the education department and served as the president of the Terapanth community in Nathdwara three times. Throughout his life, he was actively involved in social service and worked to raise awareness about body and eye donation, setting a commendable example for the community.
The body donation will significantly benefit hundreds of medical students, aiding their education in medicine and surgery. President Ravindra Surana reported that since October 1, 2025, the Udaipur Centre has facilitated two body donations, four eye donations, and six blood donations, totaling approximately 900 units of blood. The Mahavir International Udaipur Centre is establishing new benchmarks in Community Service. The event was attended by key members including Secretary Suresh Badiwal, Treasurer Ashok Khurdia, Vice Presidents Prakash Jain, Swaraj Jain, and Sanjay Badola, along with Kamal Jain.
