Mumbai, March 31: education holds significant value for everyone, whether common people or film industry stars. Actor Akshay Kumar recently spoke about the importance of education, admitting that he often feels inferior when meeting highly educated individuals.
Kumar, who has delivered numerous successful films and has long been a symbol of success in the industry, openly acknowledges his lack of formal education. During a show, while interacting with a well-educated contestant named Sonali, he expressed, “Anyone, especially someone like me who is not very educated, sometimes feels very small in front of people like you.”
He further reflected, “Sometimes I think I should have studied. I now realize that I wish I had pursued my education, but even when I want to read now, I find it difficult because I don’t enjoy reading.”
Kumar also mentioned his wife, Twinkle Khanna, a writer who has authored four books and is currently working on her fifth. He humorously noted, “You won’t believe it, but I haven’t read a single one of Twinkle’s books. Whenever I sit down to read, I don’t know what happens, tears start coming from my eyes.”
The actor praised Sonali for her multiple degrees and stressed the necessity of education, stating, “I just want to say that studying is very important. Don’t follow people like me; follow people like Sonali.”
He added that his wife recently completed her master’s degree and is planning to pursue a PhD. Kumar consistently encourages his children to prioritize their education.
