Bangladesh Announces Schedule for White-Ball Series Against New Zealand

Dhaka, March 16: The Bangladesh Cricket Board (BCB) has released the complete schedule for the upcoming white-ball series against New Zealand. The tour will feature three One Day Internationals (ODIs) followed by an equal number of T20 matches, all to be held in Bangladesh.

The New Zealand team, led by Mitchell Santner, is expected to arrive in Dhaka on April 13. The first two ODIs will take place on April 17 and April 20 at the Sher-e-Bangla National Cricket Stadium in Mirpur, while the final ODI is scheduled for April 23 at the Bir Shreshtha Flight Lieutenant Matiur Rahman Stadium in Chattogram. All three matches will be day-night fixtures.

Following the ODI series, both teams will compete in a three-match T20 series. The first two T20 matches are set for April 27 and April 29 in Chattogram, with the final match taking place on May 2 in Mirpur.

Bangladesh faced New Zealand in a three-match ODI series at home before the 2023 ODI World Cup, where they lost 0-2, with one match ending without a result.

Since 1990, Bangladesh and New Zealand have played a total of 46 ODIs, with New Zealand leading the tally with 34 wins compared to Bangladesh’s 11 victories, and one match ending in no result. In T20 matches, New Zealand has also dominated, winning 15 out of 20 encounters, while Bangladesh has secured victory in four, with one match ending without a result.

– April 17: First ODI (Dhaka)
– April 20: Second ODI (Dhaka)
– April 23: Third ODI (Chattogram)

Schedule for Bangladesh-New Zealand T20 Series:
– April 27: First T20 Match (Chattogram)
– April 29: Second T20 Match (Chattogram)
– May 2: Third T20 Match (Dhaka)
