
Banswara, April 14: The suspicious death of a brother of a leader associated with the Bharat Adivasi Party (BAP) has created a stir in Rajasthan’s Banswara district. Family members have alleged that the young man was beaten to death, while police are investigating the case from the angle of a possible love affair.
On Monday night, 28-year-old Anil was found severely injured in the bushes in the Kalimagra area of the Khamera police station jurisdiction. He was immediately rushed to the hospital, where he succumbed to his injuries. Anil was the brother of BAP leader Ashok Ninama.
Case Unfolds Following Sarpanch’s Call
Police investigations revealed that around 2 AM, Sarpanch Prakash called Ashok Ninama to inform him of Anil’s location, stating that he was lying in the bushes. When family members arrived, they found Anil crying out for help in pain.
Allegations of Brutal Beating
According to Ashok Ninama, Anil reported that he had been brutally dragged and beaten from around 12:30 AM. His condition was critical. The police arrived at the scene and transported the injured man to the hospital, but unfortunately, he could not be saved.
Police Investigating Possible Love Affair
Deputy Mahendra Meghvanshi from Ghatol indicated that the case might be linked to a love affair, and investigations are ongoing in this regard. After the incident, police also recorded Anil’s statements.
SP Sudhir Joshi stated that all aspects of the case are being examined, and call details are being scrutinized. The deceased, Anil, was married and had two young children. His parents are teachers, and his sister serves as a sarpanch. The family is in mourning, and there is a palpable sense of anger in the community following the incident.
