New Delhi, March 10: Union Minister Giriraj Singh launched a scathing attack on Congress leader Rahul Gandhi in the Lok Sabha on Tuesday. Singh accused Gandhi of behaving like an “urban Naxal,” claiming that such tendencies would lead to the downfall of the Congress party. Speaking to reporters outside Parliament, Singh likened Rahul Gandhi to Bahadur Shah Zafar, the last Mughal emperor, and referred to him as the “last prince of the fake Gandhi family.”
Singh expressed his belief that Rahul Gandhi is like an “innocent child,” stating that no one understands what he says or thinks. He pointed out that historically, Gandhi reacts to every issue like an urban Naxal and often backtracks on his statements.
The minister further remarked that no one has witnessed an opposition leader (LoP) like Rahul Gandhi, who first informs the House about topics for discussion and then leaves when the time for debate arrives. He emphasized that Gandhi only poses like an urban Naxal, showing little genuine interest in the issues at hand.
Singh clarified that participating in the House’s proceedings and the democratic process is the responsibility of the opposition leader, rather than merely seeking publicity or putting on a show. He expressed hope for the Congress party’s success under Rahul Gandhi’s leadership, but noted that his temperament makes this challenging. He reiterated that, like Bahadur Shah Zafar, Rahul Gandhi is the last LoP, labeling him as the final innocent prince of the fake Gandhi family.
Singh concluded by stating that when Rahul Gandhi raises issues in the House and calls for discussions, he should not shy away from them.
