
Kolkata, March 26: A significant opportunity has emerged for those aspiring to join the West Bengal Municipal Service Commission (WBMSC). The commission has issued an official notification for the recruitment of 41 Medical Officer (General) positions.
The application process for these posts has commenced online, with the deadline set for April 17. Eligible and interested candidates are encouraged to visit the official website and submit their registration forms before the stipulated deadline.
Candidates applying for the positions must possess an MBBS degree from a recognized university and be duly registered with the Medical Council. Additionally, preference will be given to candidates holding postgraduate qualifications such as DPH/MD (Community Medicine)/MD (PSM). Applicants should also have at least one year of experience in the medical field or in public health.
The maximum age limit for candidates is set at 37 years, with relaxations applicable for those from reserved categories as per government regulations.
Selection of eligible candidates will be based on a written examination, personality test, and document verification. The salary for selected candidates will be based on the ROPA pay scale level 16 (2019).
When applying, candidates must pay the prescribed application fee online, which is ₹200 for General/EWS/OBC categories and ₹50 for SC/ST/PWD candidates.
