Opposition Lacks Mission and Vision: Shahzad Poonawalla

New Delhi, March 22: Shahzad Poonawalla, the national spokesperson for the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP), has criticized the Indi alliance, describing it as a grand coalition lacking any clear purpose, driven solely by confusion, internal discord, and a desire for positions. He stated, “What kind of alliance is the Indi coalition—there is no mission or vision. It is only filled with confusion, division, and a craving for power.”

In reference to a controversial case involving the Punjab Warehouse Corporation, Poonawalla made serious allegations against the Aam Aadmi Party (AAP) and its leadership. He accused the Transport Minister of threatening a district manager to illegally secure a tender for a close associate. When the official refused, he was allegedly harassed and physically assaulted, ultimately leading him to take his own life.

Poonawalla claimed that in the suicide video, the official directly held the minister responsible, labeling it as a “dying declaration” and an “open-and-shut case.” He alleged that instead of taking action, there are attempts to suppress the case, citing connections involving Arvind Kejriwal, AAP, and other leaders.

Criticizing the Himachal Pradesh budget, Poonawalla also mocked Rahul Gandhi‘s “Khatakhat model.” He pointed out that wherever the Congress has formed a government, the economic situation has deteriorated—be it in Himachal Pradesh, Telangana, or Karnataka.

He accused the Himachal Pradesh government of poor budget management, reduced allocations, and cutting salaries of some officials by up to 50 percent. Additionally, he claimed that state employees went without pay for nearly six months, and the government has failed to fulfill its guarantees, all while inflation continues to rise.
