Special Traffic Advisory for Satrangi Re Concert in Delhi

New Delhi, March 27: The Delhi Traffic Police has issued a special traffic advisory ahead of the ‘Satrangi Re by Sonu Nigam Live Music Concert’ scheduled for March 28, 2026, from 4:00 PM to 11:00 PM at the Indira Gandhi Indoor Stadium. In light of the concert, traffic arrangements around the stadium have been modified.

This event marks the grand finale of Sonu Nigam’s Satrangi Re tour, promising an enchanting evening filled with the singer’s popular songs. To ensure the safety and convenience of attendees, several roads will be subject to traffic restrictions and diversions. The traffic police have requested that the public avoid the affected areas from 2:00 PM to 10:00 PM on the day of the event, as a large number of spectators are expected to arrive, increasing the likelihood of traffic congestion.

The affected roads include a complete diversion on IP Marg (MGM Road) and disruptions on Vikas Marg. Heavy vehicles will be prohibited from entering the Ring Road from Rajghat to IP Depot. No heavy vehicles will be allowed towards IP Marg from Rajghat, and restrictions will also be in place on both carriageways of the flyover.

Vehicles parked without permission on nearby streets will be towed, and legal action will be taken against violators. The stadium’s entry points, Gates 7 and 8, are located on Velodrome Road, accessible only from this road. Gates 21 and 22 are on the Ring Road, with access from MGM Road, while Gates 16 and 18 are also on the Ring Road, with entry via MGM Road.

Parking around the stadium is limited, and only vehicles with proper labels will be allowed. It is mandatory to display the parking label clearly on the windshield, which must include the vehicle’s registration number. Vehicles without valid parking labels will not be permitted near the stadium. Label holders are advised to use the Ring Road for access, with entry to parking areas only from MGM Road. No parking will be allowed on the Ring Road from Rajghat to IP.

The traffic police urge all travelers to utilize public transport or plan alternative routes in advance. Given the expected large crowd during the concert, attendees are encouraged to leave early and stay updated on traffic conditions through official apps or social media pages.
