Train Derailment Plot Foiled in Chittorgarh

Chittorgarh, April 8: A plot to derail a train by damaging railway tracks was successfully thwarted in Chittorgarh district. Late on Monday night, around 3:30 AM, an unidentified individual placed a piece of an old iron rail on the track near the Ori River bridge on the Chittorgarh-Kota rail line. Fortunately, the iron piece was struck by the engine of a freight train heading towards Kota, causing it to be thrown away and preventing a major accident. Upon receiving the information, the train driver alerted the nearest station. Subsequently, railway officials, the Railway Protection Force (RPF), and local police arrived at the scene to assess the situation.
Railway Track Safe, No Disruption to Traffic
Investigations revealed that the track was undamaged, ensuring that rail traffic remained unaffected. After a brief halt, the freight train was safely allowed to continue its journey.
