Agartala, April 5: Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha has called upon the public to steer clear of “misleading messages” and join the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in a timely manner. Speaking at an election rally in the Ganganagar-Gandachhara assembly constituency, he asserted that the people are ready to establish a ‘Triple Engine Government’ in the Tripura Tribal Areas Autonomous District Council (TTAADC).
Elections for the 30-member TTAADC, which comprises 28 elected and two government-nominated members, are scheduled for April 12.
Saha emphasized the need for collective efforts to create a new Tripura, stating, “We all must come together to build a new Tripura.” He noted the growing trust in Prime Minister Narendra Modi among the populace, saying, “Wherever I go, people are rallying under the BJP flag. Today, 710 voters from 251 families have joined the party at this rally. I welcome them; you have made the right decision at the right time.”
The Chief Minister urged individuals associated with the Tribal People’s Front (TMP) and other parties, especially the youth, not to be misled. He said, “Those in TMP or other parties, particularly the youth, should not be misguided. Our double-engine government is progressing towards the 2047 goal. Stay away from those spreading false messages and join the BJP in time.”
Saha highlighted that Prime Minister Modi speaks of ‘New India,’ and the state is working towards creating a ‘New Tripura’ in that direction. He added, “Development must reach every section—caste, tribe, and Manipuri minorities—and infrastructure must be strengthened for a new Tripura and a developed India.”
