Workshop Enhances Family Planning Services in Udaipur

Udaipur, April 8: A one-day workshop aimed at strengthening family planning services was held in the Kherwara block, where Auxiliary Nurse Midwives (ANMs), Lady Health Visitors (LHVs), and medical officers received training on modern contraceptive methods. Health personnel from the Nayagaon block participated in the workshop to gain insights into new techniques.
Chief Medical and Health Officer Dr. Ashok Aditya stated that such training programs improve the quality of services at the grassroots level and enable effective implementation of schemes. Additional Chief Medical Health Officer Dr. Ragini Agarwal noted that district trainer Dr. Kailash Sharma provided detailed information on the use, methods, and benefits of Antara AC (injectable contraceptive). Participants were also informed about subdermal implants.
Block CMHO Dr. Nikunj Kalasua emphasized the need to raise awareness at the field level and ensure that services reach as many beneficiaries as possible. UNFPA consultant Mohammad Bohra highlighted the importance of safe family planning methods in accordance with WHO standards.
