2026 Kawasaki Ninja ZX-10R Launched in India at ?19.49 Lakh

New Delhi (Patrika English News): Kawasaki has introduced the 2026 Ninja ZX-10R in India, priced at ?19.49 lakh (ex-showroom). The new model is costlier by ?99,000 compared to the 2025 version, which retailed at ?18.50 lakh. However, the update brings a slight dip in performance figures, sparking debate among enthusiasts.

Power and Performance

The 2026 Ninja ZX-10R now produces 193.1 bhp and 112 Nm of torque—down by nearly 7 bhp and 2.9 Nm compared to its predecessor. Despite this reduction, the superbike retains most of its hardware and track-focused DNA.

Features and Equipment

The ZX-10R continues with a TFT instrument console featuring smartphone connectivity and an extensive suite of electronic rider aids. These include multiple riding modes, dual-channel ABS, cruise control, launch control, traction control, and engine brake control.

Suspension duties are managed by Showa BFF front forks and a Showa BFRC monoshock, supported by an Ohlins electronic steering damper. Braking is handled by dual 330 mm front discs and a 220 mm rear disc.

Price vs Performance Debate

Interestingly, Kawasaki still lists the 2025 Ninja ZX-10R on its official website. To clear stocks, the brand is offering discounts of up to ?1.5 lakh until 30 September 2025. This makes the older model not only more affordable but also slightly more powerful, creating a dilemma for buyers: pay a premium for the latest version or secure the outgoing model at a lower price with higher output.

With the 2026 update, Kawasaki seems to be balancing rising costs with its superbike strategy. Yet, the price hike alongside reduced performance may push many enthusiasts toward the discounted 2025 model before stocks run out.
