New Delhi, September 16 (Patrika English News): The entry-level cruiser segment has turned more attractive after the recent GST cut on sub-350 cc motorcycles. Two of the biggest names in this space, the Royal Enfield Meteor 350 and the newly updated Yezdi Roadster, are now head-to-head. While both carry a retro appeal, they offer very different riding experiences.

Price Comparison
The Royal Enfield Meteor 350 remains the more accessible option. The base Fireball variant is priced at around ?1.95 lakh, with top trims going up to ?2.15 lakh (ex-showroom).
The Yezdi Roadster, meanwhile, starts slightly higher at ?2.10 lakh and goes up to ?2.26 lakh, depending on the trim and paint scheme. Positioned as a sportier and more premium alternative, it also carries a bolder road presence.
Design
The Meteor sticks to a traditional cruiser silhouette – teardrop tank, swept-back handlebars, and a low comfortable seat. Subtle updates for 2025 include LED lighting and new colour schemes, but the overall relaxed identity remains unchanged.
In contrast, the Roadster has gone for a more muscular stance with a wider 150 mm rear tyre, sharper twin shocks, and a throatier exhaust note. It looks sportier and more aggressive, designed for riders who want attention on the road.
Features
Royal Enfield has focused on practical additions: all-LED lighting, slip-and-assist clutch, USB-C charging, and the optional Tripper navigation pod.
Yezdi has packed in more tech: the updated Alpha2 engine, traction control, larger brakes, and several factory-fit kits to customise ergonomics with alternate handlebars, fly screens, and other accessories.
Specs
The Meteor’s 349 cc air-cooled engine delivers 20.2 bhp and 27 Nm, paired with a five-speed gearbox. With a weight of 191 kg, 765 mm seat height, and a large 15-litre tank, it is beginner-friendly and long-ride capable.
The Roadster’s 334 cc liquid-cooled Alpha2 motor produces 28.7 bhp and 30 Nm, mated to a six-speed gearbox with slipper clutch. It weighs 194 kg, has a higher 795 mm seat, and a smaller 12.5-litre fuel tank, but offers sharper throttle response and stronger high-speed performance.
