Jodhpur, October 17 (Udaipur Kiran News). A poster and reel competition was organized today in the ongoing Breast Cancer Awareness Month October series at the Post Graduate Institute of Ayurveda (PGIA) of Dr. Sarvepalli Radhakrishnan Rajasthan Ayurved University. This event was organized by the Vice Chancellor of the University, Prof. (Dr.) M.K. Under the guidance of Asare and Cancer Unit in-charge Prof. Done with the coordination of (Dr.) Ritu Kapoor.
In the program, postgraduate and undergraduate students prepared and displayed various posters related to breast cancer, in which the importance of prevention, early detection, and treatment of breast cancer was creatively presented. The students also participated in the reel competition and tried to spread awareness about breast cancer among the people through social media platforms.
With the aim of spreading the message among the general public, students prepared hand sticks with slogans related to cancer awareness and displayed them in the campus. The main objective of this initiative was to increase sensitivity among the general public towards cancer and motivate them for timely screening.
In the program, Principal of PGIA, Prof. (Dr.) Chandan Singh appreciated the departmental activities being done for breast cancer awareness and praised the efforts of the students. He said that such creative activities not only increase the social responsibility of the students, but also play an important role in spreading health consciousness in the society.
On this occasion, Cancer Unit in-charge Prof. (Dr.) Ritu Kapoor told that the objective of this activity organized under Breast Cancer Awareness Month is to develop positive attitude towards social participation and health education among the students. Many faculty members of PGIA including Dr. Praveen Kumar, Dr. Anita, Dr. Aruna Tiwari and a large number of graduate and post-graduate students were present in the program.
