Jaipur, October 12 (Udaipur Kiran News). The weather pattern in Rajasthan has now slowly started moving towards winter. Due to the winds blowing from the north, mild cold is being felt in the morning and evening in most areas of the state. On Saturday, the minimum temperature was recorded below 20 degrees Celsius in many cities. Due to clear sky during the day, slight warmth remained due to sunlight.
According to Meteorological Center Jaipur, at present northern winds are active, due to which the night temperature continues to fall. Light cold winds have started blowing in Jaipur, Sikar, Jhunjhunu, Hanumangarh, Alwar and Churu at night. Experts say that from next week the wind speed will decrease and there may be some increase in the temperature, due to which the effect of winter will be slightly less for the time being.
On Saturday, the coldest night in the state was recorded in Udaipur, where the minimum temperature was 16.4 degrees Celsius. The mercury also reached around 17 degrees in Nagaur, Sikar, Pilani and Pratapgarh. The minimum temperature in Jaipur was 19.7 degrees, while in Sriganganagar and Karauli it was around 19 degrees Celsius. Slight fluctuations were also seen in day temperature. The highest maximum temperature was recorded in Barmer at 35.8 degrees. In Jaisalmer, Phalodi, Bikaner and Jodhpur also the temperature remained between 33 to 35 degrees. Whereas in Jaipur, Kota, Baran and Dausa the temperature was recorded between 31 to 32 degrees Celsius.
According to the Meteorological Department, due to the moisture in the atmosphere and north-eastern winds after the recent rains, the temperature of the state is 2 to 7 degrees below normal. The effect of cold is clearly being felt due to falling mercury at night amid the dry season. It is estimated that this time the winter season may arrive a little earlier than usual. It is expected that the periods of Mavath (cold drizzle) and cold wave will intensify in November-December.
