Udaipur, April 13: Eight families in the Shaktinagar area have finally received clarity on the allotment of their land after a wait of three years. These families, who had to give up their homes for road widening, have now been granted alternative plots by the state government.
This situation arose when the municipal corporation acquired several houses to widen a narrow road in Shaktinagar. The affected families were promised land in return, but for a long time, their files remained stuck in bureaucratic processes, leaving them in uncertainty.
Thanks to the initiative of local MLA Tarachand Jain, the matter gained momentum. He coordinated with the relevant departments to expedite the approval process. Following cabinet approval, four families will receive plots in Hiranmagri Sector-11, while the remaining four will be allotted plots within the municipal area.
However, the affected families will need to deposit a specified amount for these plots, which ranges from ₹69,000 to ₹17 lakh, depending on the family.
