New Delhi, September 12 (Patrika English News): Mahindra & Mahindra has announced that it will honour all warranty commitments for customers using E20 fuel in its vehicles. The automaker has issued advisories to both customers and dealers, reassuring that older Mahindra models remain covered under the official warranty period.

The company clarified that its engines are fully compliant with existing gasoline standards and can be operated safely with the new E20 blend, which contains 20 per cent ethanol. Vehicles manufactured after April 1, 2025, will be specifically calibrated for E20 compliance, ensuring optimal acceleration and fuel efficiency.
For vehicles produced earlier, Mahindra said drivers may notice minor variations in performance or mileage depending on driving behaviour, but emphasised that such models remain “completely safe to drive.”
Mahindra further underlined its commitment to government initiatives on alternative fuels, stating that it has consistently supported the adoption of biofuels in the country.
E20 fuel, while aimed at reducing fossil fuel dependency, has raised concerns among users about reduced fuel efficiency and potential engine wear. However, the government maintains that the efficiency drop is minimal and does not shorten vehicle life.
