Patna, March 8: Nishant Kumar, son of Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, officially entered active politics on Sunday by joining the Janata Dal (United) [JD(U)] at the party’s office in Patna, in the presence of senior party leaders.
Following his formal induction into the party, Nishant met with his father and the Chief Minister, celebrating the occasion with sweets. JD(U) National Executive President Sanjay Jha was also present during this significant moment. Party legislators expressed their confidence that Nishant Kumar will fulfill any responsibilities assigned to him.
JD(U) legislator Shalini Mishra expressed her happiness and congratulated Nishant, stating that his entry into the party has generated considerable enthusiasm. She emphasized the high expectations from him, believing he will lead Bihar to new heights by following in his father’s footsteps and values.
Senior JD(U) leader Lacey Singh remarked on Nishant’s entry into active politics, highlighting his educational background in engineering and his approachable nature. He noted that Nishant’s involvement is expected to invigorate the youth within the party and strengthen its position.
In response to recent statements made by opposition leaders regarding Nitish Kumar, Singh countered that the opposition is now expressing sorrow after previously making disparaging remarks about the Chief Minister. He asserted that the party does not require sympathy from those who have criticized Nitish Kumar, who has consistently worked for Bihar’s progress. He reiterated that Nishant Kumar will manage any responsibilities entrusted to him.
Minister Shravan Kumar extended his best wishes to Nishant Kumar for his leadership journey, indicating strong support from party leaders at all levels. He acknowledged the visible enthusiasm among the youth and stressed the importance of serious consideration regarding their responsibilities.
