Jaipur, 22 October (Udaipur Kiran News). There was chaos on the Jaipur-Sikar National Highway in the early hours of Wednesday when a speeding Thar vehicle hit three bikes hard. This tragic accident happened near Rampura Pulia in Chaumun area at around 3 am in the morning. The collision was so severe that one youth died on the spot, while six people were seriously injured. All the people were residents of Bohra village like Nangal in Kardhani police station area of Jaipur and were returning home after having darshan of Khatushyamji.
As soon as the information was received, Chaumun police station reached the spot and the injured were immediately taken to Chaumun government hospital. After first aid, when their condition became critical, everyone was referred to SMS Hospital in Jaipur. But fate had something else in store. Three more people, including a woman, died before reaching the hospital and during treatment.
A total of four people died in this accident, who were identified as Virendra Srivastava (55) resident of Banaras Hall Vaidyaji Ka Chauraha Jaipur, Sunil Srivastava (50) son of Virendra Srivastava resident of Banaras, Lucky Srivastava (30) son of Indraprakash Srivastava resident of Brajwadi Colony Jaipur and Shweta Srivastava (26) wife Lucky Srivastava resident of Brajwadi Colony Jaipur. Avinash (30) son of Vijay Bahadur, Raunak (3) son of Avinash and Sangeeta’s wife Virendra Singh have been seriously injured in the accident. All three are being treated at SMS Hospital. It is being told that all the people belong to the same family and were returning together after visiting Khatushyamji.
Police station in-charge Pradeep Sharma said that the speed of the Thar vehicle was so high that all three bikes jumped and fell away. The situation at the incident site was so frightening that even the people nearby shuddered. Police have taken the Thar vehicle into custody and the search for the driver is on.
