Trump Sees Potential for Stability in Iran Talks

Washington, March 24: President Donald Trump stated on Monday that ongoing negotiations with Iran could lead to long-term stability in the Middle East, a region critical to global energy supplies and home to millions of migrants.

Speaking to reporters in Florida, Trump emphasized that the discussions between the United States and Iran have been robust, with both sides nearing a potential agreement. He noted that nearly all points of consensus have been included in the talks, suggesting progress could soon be made towards a deal.

Trump mentioned that both parties are assessing their progress within a five-day timeframe. However, he cautioned that if the negotiations fail, military action could continue. “If things go well, we will resolve it; otherwise, we will continue bombing,” he stated.

Reiterating his stance, Trump asserted that the U.S. will never allow Iran to possess Nuclear Weapons. He highlighted the importance of no uranium enrichment and regional peace, expressing a desire to see stability in the Middle East. He indicated that such an agreement would benefit countries like Israel, Saudi Arabia, the UAE, Qatar, Kuwait, and Bahrain.

He also revealed that the current round of talks was initiated by Iran, stating, “They called me; I did not call them. They want to make a deal.”

Additionally, Trump indicated that under any agreement, the U.S. could take control of Iran’s enriched uranium. “If we reach an agreement, we will go and take it under our control,” he said.

Discussing Iran’s current situation, Trump noted that many leadership groups have been eliminated in the early stages of conflict, and those remaining represent the country. He expressed uncertainty about the outcome, stating, “I am not guaranteeing anything. I am just saying we are in a real possibility of reaching an agreement.”

On the impact of a potential deal on global oil markets, Trump predicted that prices would drop rapidly once an agreement is reached.

In addition to foreign policy, Trump addressed domestic issues, including the deployment of Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) agents at U.S. airports. He blamed Democrats for federal shutdowns and immigration policies, asserting that these issues stem from their actions.

Trump praised ICE as high-level individuals doing good work and defended previous attacks on Iran’s nuclear facilities, claiming they significantly delayed Iran’s nuclear program. “If we hadn’t attacked, they would have had nuclear weapons within two to four weeks,” he concluded.
