Udaipur, April 11: In a bid to promote the Panch Gaurav programme of the Rajasthan Government, the Udaipur district administration has launched an innovative initiative by creating the Panch Gaurav Calendar. Under the leadership of Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, this calendar serves as an effective roadmap that intertwines the district’s identity, traditions, and development.
Prepared by the Information and Public Relations Department, this table and wall calendar is not just a medium of information but also a guide for planned activities throughout the year. It showcases the concept, achievements, and action plans of Panch Gaurav with a different theme for each month from January to December.
A Glimpse of Development Each Month
The calendar highlights various identities such as marble-granite, custard apple, mahua, swimming, and the Fateh Sagar and Pichola lakes in February. The months of May and June focus on the ‘One District-One Product’ initiative, while July and August emphasize agriculture and forestry. Sports take center stage in September and October, followed by tourism development in November and December.
A Powerful Medium for Awareness and Participation
The calendar also includes public holidays and information about festivals, making it a useful resource for the general public. This initiative not only aids in implementing the programme on the ground but also strengthens the vision of “Vocal for Local.”
