17 Villages to Benefit from Udaipur Canal Projects

Udaipur, April 6: Under the state government’s budget announcements, the Water Resources Department conducted an inspection of the Udaipur Dam canals and the Bagoliya feeder construction works. Additional Chief Engineer Virendra Singh Sagar reviewed the progress, quality, and timelines of the projects, instructing officials to complete the work within the stipulated time. He emphasized the regular inspection of construction materials and maintaining quality standards.

The inspection revealed that the Bagoliya feeder is being constructed to address irrigation issues in the Mavli region, benefiting 17 villages and covering 3,676 hectares of land, while also improving drinking water supply. Additionally, the inspection included a review of the restoration work of Udaipur canals funded by JICA, which is expected to reduce seepage and ensure timely water delivery to the tail end during the Rabi season. During the inspection, adherence to safety standards was also emphasized. Executive Engineer Mohit Patidar and other officials were present at the site.
