Baran, 11 October (Udaipur Kiran News). A case of disproportionate assets has been registered under the Prevention of Corruption Act against the Assistant engineer and Junior Engineer posted in Rajasthan State Agricultural marketing board, Block Baran. This action was taken by the team of ACB Kota.

ACB received information about recovery of facility fee from contractors
On August 20, 2025, Additional Superintendent of Police ACB Kota, Man Vijay Swarnkar had received confidential information that Ankit Sharma, Assistant Engineer, Executive Engineer Office, Rajasthan State Agricultural Marketing Board Division Baran, illegally receives convenience fee from the contractors of departmental construction works and brings this amount to his residence Baran by motorcycle from the direction of Mangrol.
After confidential verification of the information, the information was found to be correct.
Suspicious cash worth Rs 1.40 lakh recovered
On 28 August 2025, the team of ACB post Kota conducted a surprise investigation under the leadership of Deputy Superintendent of Police Anees Ahmed. During investigation, suspicious cash worth ₹ 1,40,000 was recovered from the possession of Assistant Engineer Ankit Sharma and Junior Engineer Ravikant Meena. During interrogation, both the engineers could not give satisfactory answers regarding this amount.
Case of disproportionate assets registered
The suspicious amount was seized by ACB and FIR number 262/2025 has been registered against both the engineers. The case has been registered under sections 13(1)(b), 13(2) and 12 of the Prevention of Corruption Act.
Further investigation of this case will be done by Additional Superintendent of Police Mukul Sharma of the special unit of ACB Kota.
