
Jaipur, October 11 (Patrika English News ). Saturday was the 5th day of the 28th Lokrang Mahotsav going on at Jawahar Kala Kendra.
In the National Folk Dance Festival being held in Madhyamik under Lokrang, artists from six states brought alive the diversity of traditions and cultural unity through a total of 11 different folk performances. These included very beautiful presentations ranging from folk songs to folk dances. These presentations, adorned with rhythm, rhythm and emotions, connected the audience intimately with the wonderful style of folk art. This cultural program filled with folk art will continue till 17th October. In the National Handicraft Fair organized in Shilpgram, we are getting a glimpse of the skills of artisans along with folk cultural presentations.
The program started in the middle with the presentation of folk songs in the melodious voice of Rajasthan’s famous folk singer Sumitra Devi. He praised Ganesh Vandana, Guru Vandana, Meera Bai’s bhajans and Ramsapir. After this, Manganiyar singing was presented by Bhutte Khan. Khan brought alive the musical tradition of Marudhar with his singing. After this, the Bhapang recital of Gafaruddin Mewati of Rajasthan presented a wonderful coordination of folk instrumental music. Artists from Madhya Pradesh won the hearts of the audience with their attractive Gangaur dance, in which all the female artists performed Gangaur while worshiping Lord Shiva and Parvati. This folk dance is performed to get a good groom.
Artists of Odisha gave a brilliant display of traditional dance style through Gotipua dance. In this, the artists brought to life the stories of Lord Jagannath on the stage with rhythmic and attractive postures. This traditional dance is a symbol of devotion and love towards God. Once again, the percussion group under the leadership of Rajasthan’s artist Amit Palawal presented a beautifully inclusive rhythmic singing of rhythm and rhythm. After this, the Kathori dance performed by the artists of the Kathori tribe of Rajasthan was presented, in which the combat postures and enthusiastic movements along with swords and weapons created a vibrant picture of bravery and traditional life. The audience was thrilled to see this folk dance full of bravery and enthusiasm.

Kajri dance in the presentation of Uttar Pradesh created an atmosphere of monsoon rains and natural beauty on the stage. Women were seen dancing and singing songs, conveying the feelings of love, separation and rural life to the audience. The beats of dholak, manjira and cymbals made the atmosphere more lively. Artists of Punjab brought on stage Bhangra to celebrate the greenery of fields and the joys of harvest. Their energy, jumps and rhythmic steps filled the audience with joy and excitement, and showcased the vibrant culture of Punjab. The Deru dance of Rajasthan filled everyone with enthusiasm. Karma dance in Madhya Pradesh’s presentation depicted the joys of rural life and festivals. This dance is performed to celebrate Karam Dev. Usually, when everyone returns home after agricultural work, they relieve the fatigue of the day through songs and dance. In the last presentation, artists from Haryana celebrated the joys of post-harvest through Ghoomar dance.
