To ensure that there is no nefarious activity from across the border, along with this, BSF soldiers and officers who are unable to go home on the occasion of Diwali due to border security duty should not feel alone on the occasion of this festival. For this, ADG logistics at BSF headquarters DK Bura, DIG Sector North Jatinder Singh Binji, Commandant of 20 Battalion Neeraj Sharma and other officers reached Tanot Mata Temple on the border.
In the Tanot Mata temple complex, he offered prayers at the Tanot Mateshwari temple and paid floral tributes to the soldiers and officers of the security forces who were martyred in the 1971 and 1965 wars with Pakistan at the Vijay Stambh.
He presented Diwali sweets to the BSF soldiers and officers posted at Tanot and congratulated them on Diwali. Later Ved reached Bablianwala BOP on the international border adjoining Tanot area.
Diwali sweets were given to BSF soldiers by the officers at the border post and Diwali celebration was done with them. ADJ Bura encouraged the soldiers, after taking stock of the security arrangements at BOP, they left for Jaisalmer.
On reaching Jaisalmer, he reached the headquarters of 38 Battalion. Here Commandant Rakesh Panwar and other officers welcomed him. ADG also celebrated Diwali festival with BSF jawans in 38 battalion and gifted them sweets and participated in a big meal with the jawans.
