Jaipur, 14 October (Udaipur Kiran News). Political activities have intensified regarding the by-election to be held on Anta assembly seat of Rajasthan. As soon as the nomination process started, political parties and potential candidates have increased their activity in the election field. On Tuesday, independent candidate Naresh meena filed his nomination from Anta seat.

A huge crowd gathered in support of Naresh Meena in the grand rally organized before the nomination. The atmosphere during the rally was completely election colored. Supporters demonstrated their strength by raising slogans of “Naresh Meena Zindabad”.

Tight security arrangements were made at the rally venue Dholiya Marriage Garden, so that there is no chaos.

After filing nomination, Naresh Meena bowed to the people of Anta and asked for their support. Family members and supporters were also present with him, who appealed to the public to vote in favor of Naresh Meena. It is noteworthy that Naresh Meena had earlier demanded a ticket from the Congress Party, but the party expressed confidence in senior leader Pramod Jain Bhaya and declared him as its candidate. After this, Naresh Meena decided to contest the elections independently and had already made it clear that he would contest from Anta at any cost.

Former minister Rajendra Gudha and Samajwadi Party MLA Atul Pradhan also participated in the nomination rally. It is being told that Rajendra Gudha himself is leading the rally. This rally is being seen as a show of strength by Naresh Meena, which can create a new equation in local politics. Congress’s official candidate Pramod Jain Bhaya had filed his nomination on Monday itself. The party has again expressed confidence in him and fielded him.

On the other hand, Indian Janata Party has not yet announced the name of its candidate. High-level discussions have taken place between Chief Minister Bhajanlal Sharma, former Chief Minister Vasundhara Raje and State President Madan Rathore. Some probable names have been sent to Delhi and the final decision will be taken by the party high command.

According to Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan, the nomination process will run from October 13 to October 21. Nomination papers can be submitted in the office of the Returning Officer of Anta from 11 am to 3 pm. There will be Diwali holiday on 19th and 20th October, hence nominations will not be filed on those days. Scrutiny of nomination papers will be held on October 23, while the last date for withdrawal of nominations has been fixed for October 27.
