Jaipur, October 15 (Patrika English News ). Reckitt, a global leader in consumer health and hygiene, in collaboration with Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child (Mamata HIMC) and PVR Nest, under its flagship program “Dettol Banega Swasth India” (DBSI), organized an art and music based community awareness program on the occasion of Global Handwashing Day 2025 at Inox Crystal Palm Jaipur. The occasion enthralled the audience with his performance by renowned Rajasthani folk musician Ustad Raees Khan, who created India’s first cleanliness-based music album ‘Folk Music for Swachh Bharat’ in partnership with DBSI in 2022.
On this occasion, more than 300 school students and key stakeholders from Rajasthan gathered on one stage, where a combination of folk music, puppet dance and awareness about cleanliness was seen in an impressive cultural festival. Ustad Raees Khan graced the event with his impressive performance and demonstrated that cultural expression can be a powerful medium to bring about change in public health. The puppet dance performed by Nagauri Gharana became the centerpiece of the show, where the message of hygiene and hand washing was imparted to the children through the art of traditional storytelling.
During the program, Ustad Raees Khan said that music is a direct way to connect with a person’s heart. By conveying the message of social responsibility, especially awareness about cleanliness, through songs, it can be ensured that children adopt good hygiene habits like hand washing. When art and joy are included in education, it becomes lessons for life. This is the strongest path to building a happy and healthy India.
Describing cleanliness as a priority for the country, Ravi Bhatnagar, Corporate Communications and Corporate Affairs Director, South Asia, MENARP and Africa, Rakit, said, our mission is inspired by the Prime Minister’s call ‘Developed India 2047’. Under which the goal has been set to make India healthy, developed and resilient for the coming generations. We believe that our country’s progress every time starts with a clean hand, ensuring hand washing and personal hygiene can create a transformative impact to support the country’s ambitions.
Speaking on this partnership, Sanjeev Dham, Deputy CEO, Mamta Health Institute for Mother and Child said, “We are extremely happy to partner with Racket’s Dettol Banega Swasth India and PVR Nest on the occasion of Global Handwashing Day. This partnership is in line with Mamta HIMC’s mission to transform the health and hygiene of the community. Seeing children leading, learning and actively participating in the I Am the Change campaign gives a ray of hope towards a clean and healthy India.
