Food safety team got 100 kilos of adulterated cheese destroyed

Jaipur, October 15 (Patrika English News ). Under the campaign against pure food adulteration being run in the state by the state government, the team of CMHO Jaipur II, while taking action against adulterated cheese in Agra Road Paldi Meena, destroyed 100 kilos of adulterated cheese.

CMHO Jaipur II Dr. Manish Mittal said that as per the instructions of higher officials, in view of the festival of Diwali, different teams have been formed and in the form of an intensive campaign, strict surveillance is being kept on the manufacturing units and sellers of food items, especially ghee, oil, spices, cheese, mawa, sweets in the city and rural areas.

In the same sequence, on Wednesday morning, the team took action against a factory of adulterated cheese in Paldi Meena and destroyed 100 kg of adulterated cheese. Mustafa Khan was running a factory in the name of Pratap Dairy. He prepares cheese by ordering milk from Barodamev Alwar and then a machine was installed on the spot to extract cream from the milk. Mustafa admitted that he prepares cheese by extracting fat from milk and sells it at dhabas and restaurants for Rs 220 per kg.

In this way, adulterated cheese was being prepared by extracting cream from milk. In the past too, samples taken during action on this factory were found to be non-standard. In the operation, 100 kg of adulterated cheese was destroyed. Paneer was being prepared in a dirty and unhygienic manner in the premises. As per the instructions of higher officials, cheese manufacturing was banned till further orders. After issuing improvement notice to the firm and receiving the test report of the sample, further action will be taken under the Food Safety and Standards Act 2006. Food safety officers Sushil Chotwani, Vinod Tharwan and Rajesh Nagar were included in the team.
