Enthusiasm Builds for PM Modis Kolkata Rally

Kolkata, March 14: Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s upcoming visit to West Bengal has sparked significant enthusiasm among BJP workers. A large number of party supporters are making their way to Kolkata from various parts of the state, eager to attend the Brigade Rally where Modi is set to speak.

Images have emerged from areas like Bashirhat, Kanthi, Durgapur, and the Sundarbans, showcasing BJP workers carrying banners and party flags as they head to the rally. Supporters from Kanthi and Durgapur have already departed for the Brigade Parade Ground, while those from remote regions of Sundarbans, including Sagar, Namkhana, and Patharpratima, are crossing rivers by boat to reach Kolkata.

BJP workers from different parts of Bashirhat are arriving in Kolkata via buses and boats. One party member from Bashirhat stated, “We are taking a boat through the Sundarbans because PM Modi is coming to the Brigade Rally. We are going there to listen to him.”

BJP supporters have also leveled serious allegations against the current government in Tamil Nadu, claiming rampant corruption and theft under its rule, including the misappropriation of rice meant for the public.

Another BJP supporter remarked, “People from various areas and communities are coming together to attend the rally.”

Commenting on PM Modi’s Kolkata visit, BJP leader Dilip Ghosh noted, “Before every major election, the Prime Minister tours the state. The BJP often forms alliances with other parties when possible, and if no suitable alliance is available, we contest elections independently.”

During his visit, Prime Minister Modi is expected to inaugurate and lay the foundation stone for development projects worth approximately ₹18,680 crores, covering sectors such as road infrastructure, railways, ports, and shipping. He will also inaugurate six redeveloped railway stations in West Bengal under the Amrit Bharat Station Scheme. Modi is scheduled to arrive in Kolkata around 2 PM.
