Washington, March 14: In a recent address in Rocky Mount, North Carolina, U.S. Vice President JD Vance defended President Donald Trump‘s military actions against Iran. He emphasized that the primary goal of the U.S. administration is to ensure that Iran never develops nuclear weapons.
Vance asserted that the economic policies of the Trump administration have improved the financial situation of American families. During the event, he stated that the U.S. is currently engaged in a military campaign aimed at preventing Iran from acquiring nuclear arms.
He also called for support for American soldiers stationed abroad, urging attendees to convey their backing to those serving in dangerous conditions. “I want you to tell everyone serving overseas that this crowd from North Carolina stands with them,” Vance said.
However, Vance refrained from disclosing the advice he provided to President Trump regarding military actions against Iran, stressing the importance of open discussions between the President and his advisors without fear of media leaks.
In his speech, Vance addressed the potential economic impacts of the conflict and rising fuel prices, stating that the administration is working to manage the situation. He noted that Energy Secretary Chris Wright and Treasury Secretary Scott Bessen are overseeing the administration’s economic strategy.
Vance remarked, “The President does not like high oil prices, and neither do I. Our goal is to bring gas prices back to a level that is fair and reasonable for the American people.”
During the program, Vance praised the economic policies of the Trump administration, claiming they have led to an increase in the income of average American families. He pointed out that under President Joe Biden, the average take-home income of American families has decreased by approximately $3,300, while it rose by about $1,300 during Trump’s presidency.
He stated, “It was President Joe Biden who created inflation and the inflation crisis in America, while President Donald Trump made the American people $1,300 richer.”
Vance also claimed that inflation rates have decreased in recent months, along with a drop in interest rates, indicating signs of economic recovery. The administration’s economic policies aim to enhance the prosperity of working families.
On law enforcement, he stressed the need to deport criminal immigrants living illegally in the U.S. to reduce crime rates, ensuring that resources reach the people of North Carolina.
This statement comes at a time when tensions in the Middle East have escalated following the Trump administration’s military actions against Iran, sparking intense debate within the U.S. regarding the scope and potential consequences of these actions.
Donald Trump has long maintained that Iran must never be allowed to acquire nuclear weapons, a policy supported by several U.S. administrations over the past two decades. This issue remains a significant source of tension between the U.S. and Iran, impacting the politics of the Middle East.
