Iranian Embassy Assures Safety of Indian Nationals Amid Tensions

New Delhi, April 2: The ongoing conflict between Iran and the United States-Israel alliance has entered its second month, raising significant concerns, particularly regarding the strategic Hormuz Strait. Amidst escalating tensions, the Iranian Embassy in india has reassured that Indian nationals are safe.

The Iranian Embassy in South Africa posted on social media platform X, stating, “The future of the Hormuz Strait will be determined solely by Iran and Oman. You are in safe hands; there is no cause for concern.” This message was subsequently reposted by the Iranian Embassy in India, reiterating the same assurance.

In related developments, Abdul Mohammadi Khani, spokesperson for the Mayor of Tehran, reported that damage to housing units includes minor repairs such as glass, doors, and windows, as well as larger reconstruction efforts. He noted that 1,869 families are facing housing difficulties, while approximately 1,245 families have been relocated to 23 residential complexes.

So far, over 4,000 residential units have begun repairs, supported either by the municipal authorities or through financial assistance.

In response to U.S. President Donald Trump’s recent remarks, the Iranian Foreign Ministry spokesperson issued a statement. Trump had warned that Iran must agree to a deal within two to three weeks or face attacks on its power plants.

Ismail Baghaei responded to this threat, stating, “We will not tolerate this vicious cycle of war, negotiations, ceasefires, and then repeating the same pattern.” He described the ongoing conflict as “devastating not only for Iran but for the entire region and beyond.”

Baghaei emphasized that as long as U.S.-Israeli attacks continue, Iran will respond accordingly, asserting that Tehran does not consider its Gulf neighbors as enemies. He reiterated Iran’s commitment to maintaining good neighborly relations, highlighting that the issue lies in the use of their territories for military actions against Iran by the U.S. and Israel.
