Udaipur, April 7: The Excise Commissioner, Namit Mehta, has issued strict directives emphasizing the importance of timeliness and coordination in departmental operations. He made it clear that any negligence in fulfilling government responsibilities will not be tolerated.
During a review meeting held at the Excise Headquarters in Udaipur on Monday, Mehta highlighted the significant role of the Excise Department in the state’s revenue generation. He stressed the necessity of meeting financial targets on time.
Mehta also underscored the importance of teamwork and discipline in carrying out duties.
Officials from various sections presented detailed information regarding their tasks and responsibilities, including IT, prosecution, policy, legal, RTI, and accounts.
The Commissioner invited suggestions from officials to enhance coordination and expedite workflows. Senior officials and staff were present during the discussions aimed at making departmental operations more effective.
