IIHMR University celebrated 41st foundation day

Jaipur, October 9 (Patrika English News ). IIHMR University completed 41 years. Established in the year 1984, this institute has been dedicated to raising health standards through better functioning of health management and related schemes. The function was inaugurated by Dr. P.R., President of IIHMR university. Sodani’s welcome speech. The gathering present on this occasion recalled the glorious journey of the institute from 1984 till now, in which IIHMR has established itself as a leading institute in the field of health management research.

In his address, Dr. P.R. Sodani shared the achievements of the university in the field of student development, curriculum, research and collaboration. He said that after an excellent journey of four decades, the University is now moving forward with dedication to transformative research, modern education and social welfare to shape the future of the global health system.

On this occasion, Dr. P.R. Sodani announced the establishment of ‘Center for Environmental Health’. This center will work on important issues like climate change, water and sanitation, occupational health, heat-related diseases and their impact on public health.

IIHMR University has instituted ‘Distinguished Alumni Awards’ to recognize the outstanding contributions of its alumni. This year the awards were presented to Richa Singh Degbupta (Batch 1998-2000), currently Executive Vice President, Fortis Healthcare Limited, and Dr. Preet Matani (Batch 2001-2003), currently Partner – Healthcare Advisory, PwC (Price Water House Coopers).

IIHMR University is providing funding, mentorship and ecosystem partnership to new entrepreneurs in the health sector through its IIHMR Foundation – IIHMR Startups. The objective of this initiative is to make health services accessible, affordable and available to all across the country.
