Bikaner, 13 October (Patrika English News ). Under the Village Industries Development Scheme, machine tool kit distribution and Khadi dialogue program ‘Khadi Mahotsav-2025’ was organized by Khadi and Village Industries Commission at Daga Palace on Monday.
Chief guest of the program, Union Law and Justice Minister Arjun ram meghwal said that Khadi is not just a cloth, it is the idea of self-reliant India. Till independence, we fully encouraged indigenous products. Gradually this changed, but today the era of Swadeshi is rapidly returning. Prime Minister Narendra modi has taken the issue of Swadeshi forward rapidly.
Meghwal said that today there is an echo of equipment made in India in the field of defence. There was a time when we had to import defense equipment from other countries of the world. Today the world has recognized the iron power of our defence. He said that Vande Bharat Express is a symbol of self-reliant India. The Union Minister appealed that in view of Diwali, every person should take a pledge to promote Swadeshi and inspire at least five people for this.
The Union Minister said that after Prime Minister Narendra Modi took over the leadership of the country, Khadi has got a lot of encouragement. Beneficiaries receiving tool kits under the Village Industries Development Scheme will become self-reliant by adopting new technologies and will participate in the development of the country. He said that tool kits should be distributed to the deprived eligible people in the coming time.
Khadi and Village Industries Commission Chairman Manoj Kumar said that 554 machines and tool kits have been distributed to 390 artisans during the festival. He said that under the leadership of Prime Minister Narendra Modi, the Commission has set many records in the last eleven years. For eleven years, Khadi products worth Rs 33 thousand crore were sold every year. Today this figure has crossed 1 lakh 70 thousand crores.

During this, many people including Suman Chhajed, Shyam Panchariya, State Director of Khadi Village Industries Commission Rahul Mishra, Deputy Chief Executive Officer of Khadi Village Industries Commission Yashpal Singh, Assistant Director of Divisional Office Jaikumar, Divisional Officer Ravindra Prasad Vyas were present.
