Leopard Sightings Cause Panic in Udaipurs Kurabad Area

Udaipur, April 14: The increasing presence of leopards in the Kurabad region has left local residents on edge. Frequent sightings near residential areas have created an atmosphere of fear, leading to deserted streets as dusk falls.
On the night of April 9, a leopard was captured on CCTV footage passing close to homes in Bori village. This alarming video, recorded by a resident named Devlal, has heightened anxiety among villagers.
Concerns for Children’s safety
Residents report that the leopard has been spotted roaming around the village at night, prompting families to prevent their children from going outside alone. Even adults are exercising caution, venturing out only for essential tasks after sunset. Parents are particularly worried about their children’s safety.
Previous Sightings Reported
It is noteworthy that leopard activity had also increased last month in the Bhallokaguda area along the Udaipur-Kurabad road, where a leopard was captured in a trap set by the forest department after it was seen hunting livestock near the village. Following these recurring incidents, villagers are demanding immediate action from the forest department, warning that failure to address the situation could lead to a serious incident. Currently, the area remains tense and vigilant.
