Panther camp at garbage collection center of Kannauj, forest department is monitoring

Chittorgarh, 24 October (Udaipur Kiran News). These days the Panther family has camped in Bhilgatti of Kannauj Gram Panchayat located in Bhadesar area of ​​the district. Along with two adult panthers, two small panthers are also visible here. At present the panther has not attacked anyone, but the villagers are also in panic. Waste is being dumped here by people setting up non-veg shops. Due to this, the panther is reaching Bhilgatti to eat the waste. After the panther movement, the forest department has also become alert and has advised people to stay away from them.

Kannauj Gram Panchayat is about 30 kilometers away from Chittorgarh district headquarters. Panthers have been visible here for about a fortnight. Here in the evening the villagers are continuously seeing more panthers. On this, the villagers informed the Sarpanch representative JP Jagetia about the matter. This was also monitored at the Gram Panchayat level. It came to light that panthers were continuously visible. The Forest Department was also informed on this. Actually there has been a panther movement in this area. But even the forest department was shocked by people camping at the same place continuously. Later investigation revealed that some people set up non-veg shops in Kannauj area. They throw the waste near Bhilgatti village. The panther’s family is reaching here due to this smell. Converting non-veg waste into food. On this, the Gram Panchayat has banned non-veg sellers not to throw waste here. Efforts are being made to ensure that panthers stay away from the population at night. According to the Forest department, apart from the two adult panthers, there are two more panthers at the spot, whose age is around five to six months. On behalf of the Gram Panchayat, a garbage collection center has been built near Bhilgatti village in Kannauj village. Those selling non-veg shops are also dumping their waste here. In such a situation, panthers reach here after dark. Here panthers are seen sitting on the walls of the garbage collection center. The villagers have also made videos of the panther sitting on the walls of the garbage collection center.

According to Sarpanch representative JP Jagetia, there is a garbage collection center in Bhilgatti, where panthers have started coming due to dumping of non-veg waste. In such a situation, these people are prohibited from doing this. The Gram Panchayat also got the waste removed. Fire will be set here so that the remaining waste also gets burnt and the panther does not come in this direction.

Ranger Sunil Kumar Yadav of Forest Department, Chittorgarh said that there has been movement of a pair of panther in Kannauj area. After receiving this information, continuous monitoring is being done by sending staff. Panther is coming only for a certain time. It has not harmed anyone. There is a mine area nearby from where the panthers are reaching here.
