Pre-certification of print advertisements by Media Certification and Monitoring Committee on pre-poll and polling day

Finally by-elections.

Jaipur, 21 October (Udaipur Kiran News). The Election Commission has announced the dates of Bihar Assembly elections and by-elections of eight assembly constituencies. The date of voting for Anta Assembly by-election has been fixed for November 11 (Tuesday).

Chief Electoral Officer Naveen Mahajan said that to ensure a fair campaign environment, no political party, candidate, organization or individual will publish any advertisement in the print media on the day of polling and the day before polling, unless the content is pre-certified by the Media Certification and Monitoring Committee (MCMC) at the state or district level. The restricted days for Anta Assembly by-election are fixed as 10th and 11th November.

Applicants seeking pre-certification for political advertisements in print media must apply to MCMC two days before the proposed date of publication of the advertisement.

To facilitate timely pre-certification, MCMCs have been activated at the state or district level to scrutinize and pre-certify such advertisements and ensure that decisions are taken expeditiously.

Triangular contest for the first time, caste equation will become the basis of victory and defeat

This time the election contest on Anta assembly seat of Baran district is very interesting. For the first time, there is a triangular contest on this seat created after the delimitation of 2008. Here caste equations are going to be the biggest factor in the election results.

BJP, Congress and independent candidates are all busy in strengthening their respective caste vote banks.

Considering the influence of Mali-Saini community, BJP has fielded Baran Panchayat Samiti head Morpal Suman.

At the same time, after not getting ticket from Congress, Naresh Meena has tried to tap the vote bank of Meena community as an independent candidate.

Congress has once again expressed confidence in former minister Pramod Jain Bhaya, whose hold is considered strong on urban and traditional voters. There are about 2.25 lakh voters in Anta Assembly, in which four major castes play a decisive role.

These include about 40 thousand Mali community, 35 thousand Scheduled Caste (SC), 32 thousand Meena community and 20 to 25 thousand Muslim voters.

Apart from this, votes of Dhakad, Brahmin, Bania and Rajput communities can also decide the margin of victory.

According to political experts, caste alliance is the key to victory here. The candidate in whose favor the winds of these communities will blow will emerge as the winner. Mali community has the largest number in Anta seat, but victory is not possible with their votes alone.

Only the alliance of Mali-Meena-SC and Muslim votes will prove decisive.

BJP has tried to strengthen its traditional vote bank by fielding Mali community and local candidates.

At the same time, Congress is counting on its Meena, SC and Muslim vote bank, which has been with them in the last elections.
